There is a long and honorable tradition of blending coffees that goes back for centuries.

Perhaps the most famous blend of coffee beans, Mocha Java, includes Arabian (Yemen) Mocha coffee, and Indonesian Java Arabica coffee.

In other words, blended coffees aren't second best to single origin coffees. They're just different.
